What this directory is
Swan Valley Winery Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to a relevant provider and may receive a referral fee. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings.
It is built for people choosing where to taste, dine or book in Swan Valley: visitors planning a day out, locals looking for a new cellar door, and groups comparing options. Right now it lists 64 winery businesses.
Who publishes it
The directory is published by Scout Local Media (scoutlocalmedia.com.au), an independent Australian publisher that has run it since 2026. It is built from published review data and public business information. Our aim is simple: help people find trusted wineries, and help quality local producers reach customers who are looking for them.
Rankings are maintained by Petra Nathan, Lead Editor, who oversees the editorial side of the directory.
How listings get here
We pull public business data, such as name, address, opening details and contact information. We also synthesise recent Google reviews into a short summary of what customers are saying.
We do not republish review text. Where you want to read the originals, each listing links out to Google.
How rankings work
Rankings are earned. They come from a published rubric applied to data, and nothing else. Payment does not buy a higher position. The full scoring rules are on the methodology page.
How sponsorship works
Some listings may carry paid placement. When they do, it is labelled “Sponsored” and shown separately from the earned results. Sponsorship never changes a business’s earned ranking, score or sentiment summary.
What listed businesses can and cannot change
A listed business can correct its own facts, for example wrong opening hours, a changed phone number or a moved address. It can never edit its own score, sentiment or ranking. Those come from the data and the rubric.
How fresh the data is
We refresh the data monthly. Each listing shows a “last verified” stamp so you can see when it was last checked. Every listing is meant to reflect real, verified business details.

- How do I fix wrong details on a listing?
